GRAND FALLS – Do you have questions about Old Age Security, eating healthy, being active or safety in your home? Perhaps you’ve been wondering if you should sell your home and live in an apartment or you need someone to check your passport application before sending it away.
These questions and many more can be answered by attending the 50-Plus Expo in Grand Falls, hosted by Tobique-Mactaquac MP Mike Allen on Tuesday, May 18.
“There are a lot of older adults in this riding, and we really want to do something a little special for them by providing one-stop information spots,” said Mr. Allen. “The weather is beautiful and I know how much everyone likes to get out and about this time of year.”
The 50-Plus Expo will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the E. & P. Sénéchal Centre in Grand Falls. Admission is completely free.
“Besides the government departments, non-profit organizations and members of associations who will have booths, visitors can attend brief information sessions throughout the day,” Mr. Allen explained.
There will also be entertainment, and a free light lunch will be served.
“My staff and I look forward to seeing everyone in Grand Falls, as we hold our sixth 50-Plus Expo since May 2008,” said the MP.
Previous Expos have been held in Plaster Rock, Perth-Andover, Woodstock, Nackawic and the Rural Community of Upper Miramichi.
